Levi is a 7 to 9 yr old, 6 pound, black and silver Yorkie Mix, sweet as can be. He is definitely a Mama's boy, doesn't care much for men, is not mean, just keeps his distance. Previous owner said he didn't like children. He's also neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Levi sleeps with his foster parents. He is crate trained, walks well on leash and loves exploring the back yard with his foster siblings. Levi ignores the resident cats and seems to be pretty well house trained if kept on a schedule. He eats Pet Fresh right now but we're working on introducing him to kibble. We're also working on teaching him to use steps to get on and off the couch. At this point he just hops up and down to be picked up. Once Levi gets used to his new home he is an absolute love bug (only took about a week). He wants to either sit on your lap or snooze near you. He loves to be carried and is great for car rides!
When Levi was groomed, the groomer discovered a small lump on his behind. The vet checked it and said it was just a small, fatty cyst. Also, like many small dogs, Levi has luxating patella on both back legs. He is not in pain and gets a daily joint supplement.
Levi's adoption fee is $500. He is being fostered by Marcia in Ingleside, IL. You can contact her at 224-629-3695 or zeezmom@sbcglobal.net for more information.

More about this rescue
Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue was born out of my love for small dogs and desire to help those in need, and in memory of the loss of a dear family member. Dealing frequently with small breed puppies and retired breeder moms, we strive to find homes that are aware of the commitment to raising a small breed dog and to the patience needed in socializing and housebreaking a retired breeder mom who has no idea what life in a home is all about. We are foster home based and are always looking for new foster homes to help us continue our love of rescuing dogs in need. We are happy to assist in owner surrender placements, especially those in need of surrendering their small dogs due to financial hardships, loss of a loved one, or dog owner entering assisted living facilities or nursing homes. We pride ourselves with a thorough search for that perfect home for a dog in need and follow up with phone calls to ensure things are going well. Tiny Paws will take back an adopted dog should the need arise within a reasonable notice and an available foster home has an open spot. Our goal is to someday own a building to house even more canine companions in need. We look forward to helping you find your family pet.
