My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application

Please do not call the shelter; do the application first.

Introducing the Orange Litter, six lovely short-haired orange tabbies born 6/3/25. This group includes:

BUTTERSCOTCH - male buff tabby, yellow collar in video

MAPLE - male buff tabby with white, solid blue collar in video

CLEMENTINE - female orange tabby with lots of white, light blue collar with polka-dots in video

CARROT - male orange tabby with white, orange/black tiger striped collar in video

MANGO - male orange tabby, black/white striped collar in video

APRICOT - female orange tabby, purple with white collar in video

This group is very playful and fun, and should fit in well with pretty much any type of family. The lone exception is Maple, who is the introverted deep-thinker of the group. He would be the best candidate for anyone who wants a single pet, and who has a fairly calm lifestyle with no toddler birthday parties in sight.

For the other five... whatever chaos you may invite, they say "bring. it. on."

We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies."

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $75 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
