My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Grimble is a sweet, affectionate pup who loves being by your side, your loyal little shadow! Once he warms up, his playful and cuddly side shines through! He adores toys, car rides, and soaking up all the pets you can give. Grimble is house-trained, crate-trained, and loves spending time with his people. Give him a few minutes (and maybe a toy), and you’ll see his shy side melt into pure joy. He is currently in a foster home so please fill out an application if you are interested in meeting him.

Additional adoption info

We encourage everyone interested in adopting a new pet to come visit the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter to view the wonderful selection of cats, dogs and small animals we have available for adoption. When you see an animal you are interested in, come in as soon as possible as we are first come, first serve and are unable to place HOLDS on pets over the phone.

Speak to an Adoption Counselor at our Adoption Center regarding your interest to adopt and they will advise you of the Hold and Adoption process. All pets adopted from our facility are microchipped, spayed or neutered and vaccinated for Rabies prior to being released to the adopter. This is required by Texas State Law for any animal adopted from an animal shelter or rescue group. We do allow out of area adoptions as long as the selected pet is old enough to receive these services prior to being released to the adopter.
