Bibeau My sister and I were seized from an unfortunate situation on August 21. Although both of us are shy, I tend to be more reserved. In my medical examination, I was terrified and wanted to hide. Because I was so unhappy in the shelter, I was sent to a foster home on September 21. My foster mom (FM) has been in contact with the interviewer lady (IL), who was never able to get me to answer her questions. FM knew that my adjustment to her home would not be easy for either of us. I didn’t eat and hid from her for the first few days. After a while, I had a “lightbulb” moment and decided to be brave, so I rubbed my face in her hand and crawled into her lap. FM was so pleased when I began to purr and make biscuits. Since then, FM says I am the cuddliest cat she’s ever known. I still enjoy my hiding spots for quiet contemplation, but I will come out with a little encouragement. I am sure I’d make a wonderful professional lap cat if I had a lap to sit on 24-7. I use my litter box without fail, as long as the top is open. I am slightly finicky about eating, but I’ll clean my plate if FM hand-feeds me. I’ve got her trained! So far, I haven’t been impressed by the toys I’ve been offered. I have enjoyed using a cardboard scratching board. But considering I am 12-years-old, I’m a little past the playtime zoomies. In my opinion, as long as I am offered a loving caretaker with a lap to share, I will be happy. Naps, cuddling, food, and naps are tops on my wish list. 11-4-25

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.
This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
