My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This guy is absolutely precious, and my adult son calls him Chocolate Rain.
Walter is an older super Mutt who is looking to land in a home that will respect his boundaries and be his forever clan. His house trained, friendly, affectionate, rides well in the car, He's fantastic with other animals and he should only be with dog savvy kids age 12+. Walter absolutely needs a fenced in yard. You're not going to be able to walk the wet food pounds off of him because he's a butthead about touching his throat. He won't let us get a collar on him. I can only get a slip lead on after being his best friend and having Nudgers in my hand. He initiates all petting and follows me everywhere. But he will not let me get my hands around him. So, if you have a fenced yard and you can respect his boundaries (he will also respect yours), then you're going to love him. Just put a soft bed on the floor in your room and he will just think you're a Saint and will worship you forever. Apply for our little fat old man at www.brasscityrescue.org

More about this rescue

Our goal is to help the animals and citizens that need us.
Our reach is far, wide and we do our best to never refuse aid. Through education, support and life saving,we hope to make a difference in Connecticut.

We strive to get as many dogs adopted as possible via our rescue. We have our own dog shelter and hold weekend adoption events to find forever homes for our pups. We provide veterinary care, behavioral assessments and training to make each animal successful in its new forever home. Though we no longer adopt cats out, we do assist other local rescues in the networking of homeless cats, including trapping and trap-neuter-release.

We collect food, toys and other needs for our rescued dogs including veterinary donations for their care while in rescue. We network for dogs at local shelters and lend a hand to our rescue friends whenever we can. We also advocate for the well being of the dogs and their living conditions and strive to better improve the long standing customer service issues at many Connecticut Animal Control facilities. We also help the public with questions, training, referrals to veterinarians etc. Through constant media promotion and proper assessments of the dogs, we hope to save as many lives as possible in our day to day mission.

This RESCUE group is CT registered and has APPROVED 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service. All donations to Brass City Rescue Alliance are tax deductible.
