Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Benji, an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd (born 11/14/2016) who is as affectionate as he is smart. Loyal to his people, Benji thrives on attention and companionship and is looking for a forever home where he can be the center of someone’s world. True to his breed, he has plenty of energy and does best with daily walks, playtime, and brain-stimulating activities to keep him happy and balanced.
Benji is house trained, knows basic commands like sit, lie down, and come, and walks decently on a leash, though he can pull a little when excited. He isn’t crate trained but does well relaxing on his own. While he enjoys toys from time to time, his favorite things are treats, being outdoors, cuddling, and soaking up love from his people.
Young children can make Benji a bit anxious with their sudden movements, he would thrive in an adult-only home or with older kids who understand how to respect a dog’s boundaries. He also needs to be the only pet, as he doesn’t get along with other dogs or cats. With the right home, Benji will be a deeply loyal and affectionate companion who is always ready to snuggle, keep you company, and bring joy to your days.Benji is a wonderful, affectionate dog who just needs the right match to feel safe, happy, and adored. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will stick by your side, Benji is your guy.
Benji is a courtesy post, if interested in adopting him please send us an email and we will put you in contact with his owners.

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 4,500 dogs and cats since 2015.
PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.
Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.
We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.
Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
