Layla is a sweet, very playful pup. She is a neglected female, about 55 to 65 lbs; she turned 1 year old on 11/29/24.
** Trainer by Bark Buster available if desired. ** She does follow some commands but, clever and often hard-headed to do this with consistency. Eats well between 5-6 pm. Completed 1st or 2nd heat cycle on 10/14. Spay appointment scheduled for 1/2/26; will still require LOTS of chew toys and attention! Motivated by food.
She is finally acclimated to life with my 7 year old unneutered 152 lb Presa canario and 37 lb 13 year old Terrier mix. This has taken 3 months. I have had both since they were 8 weeks old. Both have a very calm temperament and initially disrupted by her very playful behavior. However house training has improved much. She requires a lot of time and energy, particularly for me over 65 with a recent TKR.
Want to avoid kill-sites; all no-kill facilities have been full for some time now. Hopefully a permanent home presents sooner than later.
