Layla is a sweet, very playful 1 yr old, (11/29/24), weighing in at 60 lb on 1/2/26.
She does follow some commands but, clever and often hard-headed to do this with consistency. My trainer is offering assistance to any new owner. She eats well between 5-6 pm. Started 2nd heat cycle on 1/4; spay appt tentatively scheduled for 2/18. Motivated by food. Enjoys toys but, must be sturdy!
She is finally acclimated to life with my 7 year old unneutered 152 lb Presa canario and 37 lb 13 year old Terrier mix. This took 3 months. I have had both of mine since they were 8 weeks old. Both have a very calm temperament and were initially disrupted by her very playful behavior. However house training has improved much by a watchful eye on their behavior. She requires a lot of time and attention, particularly for me, being over 65 with a recent TKR.
Want to avoid kill-sites; all no-kill facilities have been full for some time now. Hopefully a permanent home presents sooner than later.
