My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Barbra Jean

Barbra Jean was found wandering the streets of Burns, Tennessee—hungry, overheated, and scared in the summer heat.

The moment she came into our care, her sweet personality shined through. She melted into our staff’s arms and quickly made friends with everyone she met.

At 10 years old, Barbra Jean may be considered a senior, but don’t let that fool you—she’s a young heart with plenty of love to give. She’s wonderful with dogs, cats, and kids, making her the perfect companion for just about any home.

Her favorite things? Snuggling, napping, and soaking up the sunshine.

Barbra Jean is currently heartworm positive, which means she needs a safe, loving foster home while she undergoes treatment.

Interested in fostering Barbra Jean?

Come meet her! If you already have dogs, please bring them along for the required meet-and-greet.
