My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Baxter — a Puppy Bowl 2026 Star in the Making!

Get ready to cheer for Baxter, our 8-month-old heartthrob and official contestant in the 2026 Puppy Bowl! This playful pup is about 30+ pounds of pure joy, tail wags, and affection. With his sweetheart personality and happy-go-lucky spirit, Baxter is the whole package — charm, smarts, and endless love wrapped up in one adorable bundle.

Baxter adores playtime, loves his treats, and is quickly mastering leash manners and basic commands — he’s a quick study! While a bit shy at first, he warms up fast and soon becomes your best cuddle buddy. He’s fantastic with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy fit for all kinds of families.

This handsome boy was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico alongside his three siblings — Maverick, Cash, and Stormi. Despite his rough start, Baxter’s spirit shines bright. His striking blue eye and affectionate nature make him truly one of a kind.

If you’ve been looking for a puppy who’s as sweet as he is playful — and a TV-ready star to boot — Baxter is your boy! He’d love a forever home with another doggy friend to share adventures, snuggles, and cheering fans.

Bring home your very own Puppy Bowl MVP — adopt Baxter and let the fun begin!

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats come spayed/neutered and vaccinated! Some of the pups will only have their first round of shots and may need rabies if they are under 3 months old. But other than that, these babies come ready to go! Our adoption fees vary, please inquire about each dog's individual fees. We do have cats and kittens available from time to time, so please inquire if you are looking for a feline pal! With their vetting, flights and care, we only ask for the adoption donation to help offset costs and make sure our adopters are serious. We love our rescues like we love our family. They mean the world to us and we just want to see them in good loving homes! And please check back as we are always adding new rescues to this page.

More about this rescue

We approach each every situation with an open mind. We work to build respect and trust with the partners, communities and countries we work in. With their acceptance, we build a plan together to meet the most pressing issues. We listen, learn and solve the needs together. We look for solutions that are integrated, scale-able, and sustainable. At Compassion Kind, we work with governments, institutions, local leaders, civil society organizations, foundations and businesses around the world to ensure that the most vulnerable beings are heard, and that they get the assistance they need to sustain from within the communities. Our teams and partners advocate for capacity building training and grass roots techniques so we make a lasting impact, create measurable change and operate as efficiently as possible.
