My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I came from a home with a lot of cats and I am still learning how to be a regular house cat. I am shy, head-shy, and easily startled—but not feral. I need a calm, patient adopter who will start me in a small space (like a bathroom) and let me settle in at my own pace.

I will do best with slow introductions, interactive play (like wand toys), and time to build trust. Giving me too much space too soon can lead to setbacks with litter box habits or bonding.

A confident, friendly cat in the home can be a huge help— I will likely bond quickly with other cats and learn by following their lead. With the right setup and a little patience, I’ll come around and show you just how sweet I really am.

FIV is a cat-only virus and does not affect people or dogs. FIV+ cats most often live long, healthy, and relatively normal lives with no symptoms at all. FIV is not easily passed between cats. If you are looking to add an FIV+ cat to your family and you currently have cats that are not FIV+ please speak with your vet.

Ready to Adopt a Kitten?

You have two options:

#2- ADOPT SIGHT UNSEEN
If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the kitten first, we can help over the phone or by email. (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.

Kittens are adopted on a first come, first served basis, and we’re not able to place holds on them.

All kitten adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age)
-current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
