Cooper was rescued from the Palm Valley Shelter in the Rio Grande Valley in February of 2022. My boys and I decided to get a new pet after our long-time dog passed. Cooper has great energy and super playful. He is protective of us and a great alert dog that helps keep the house secure.
He does appear to have some trauma with lighting and fireworks. Those festive days he prefers to stay in doors.
We have also noticed that he can be possessive with food and water at times.
Other than that, he's a great pet and great walking dog. My wife and I are just too busy these days with work and not giving him the attention he deserves. We both travel a lot too and it gets difficult for us to get someone to watch over him.
