My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Brown has been taking a break from the shelter life to soak up alllll the attention he can get in his foster home! His foster mom is learning so much about him that we`d like to share with you, in hopes of finding him a home for Christmas!??
`This little guy is the best. So well behaved, no potty messes, likes to play toys, likes to play fetch, comes when called (actually doesn`t usually like to leave my side in the first place), slept through the night, no barking, and so stinkin cute! I`m super surprised no one has taken him home yet.
He doesn`t like the cold so we`re doing a lot of indoor play. We`re working on his manners in a vehicle still, but it is improving with each `ride`. He wants to go with, so it`s not like he`s scared or anything, just hasn`t learned to settle in one seat and chill for the ride. A little jumping up on us when we get home if one of us has been gone for a few hours, but only for a minute and fairly gentle about it. We keep telling him no jumping to try to break that habit, but so far he`s just gotten more gentle about how he does it. Doesn`t chew stuff up and has stopped trying to counter surf.
He seems to like this new snow and running and jumping around in it playing. He`s not a fan of cold though and has been refusing to go out for bedtime potty (around 9:00). I open the door and he comes trotting to it like he`s all ready to dart out to his favorite potty spot, but then his nose hits the cold air at the threshold and mad dash for the bed where he jumps up into my spot and lays down curled into a little ball, challenging me to make his cute little self move. Such a little sweet face he has when he is trying to con you into getting his way. He makes it through the night though without needing to wake me up for a trip outside, so no big deal. We`re loving having Mr. Brown around. `
What a good boy, Mr. Brown! And a huge thank you to his foster family!

Go meet their pets

Paws and Claws Rescue & Resort is open to the public Mon-Fri from 9am-4pm. We do require you to have an appointment set up for weekend meet and greets and adoption. Please call 218-675-7297 for more information.

If you see an available pet that you fall in love with, but you are unable to come in right away to meet them, please call us for more information about the pet. If they sound like the perfect animal to complete your family, you can place an adoption hold. This non-refundable hold of $25 will apply towards your adoption fee. If you are serious about adopting a pet, this hold will ensure that no one else will be able to come in and adopt it before you have the chance. Adoption holds are good up to 2 business days after all the necessary medical and behavior tasks have been completed for the pet. Call 218-675-7297 if you see an animal that peaks your interest!
