Izzy may have started her life in a cardboard box labeled “free puppies”, but she hasn’t let that dim her bright, joyful spirit one bit. This energetic little sweetheart is all about fun, friendship, and playtime. In the yard she loves to run, play with toys, and explore every corner with pure puppy enthusiasm.
Izzy walks fairly well on a leash for her age, though she sometimes pauses or needs a gentle boost to keep moving. She takes treats gently, has had some practice at learning to sit for a treat (though she`s not great at it yet), and is learning more everyday. Izzy is affectionate, silly, and full of love. She’s ready to leave her rough beginning behind and find a home where she can grow, play, and be cherished.

More about this shelter
We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.
We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.
The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.
We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
We hope that you will find your new love at our shelter - we always have so many to choose from!
