My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile:  Jameson, an 8-year-old, 17 lb male Chihuahua, was rescued from a property that had 30 dogs. Despite growing up in a hoarding environment, this guy is a true gentleman. He can be a little shy at first, but our rescue partner reports he is calm and gentle. Jameson was neutered, had a hernia repair and a dental with several extractions to get him in tip top shape for travel. We can't wait to help him find a real family to cherish him for the rest of his life.

Foster Update:  Meet Jameson, an 8-year-old, 17-pound Chihuahua mix (with some corgi/frenchie vibes!) with a gentle heart and a mellow soul. Once he gets to know you, Jameson’s sweet personality shines — he’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest just relaxing near his people.

He’s a social boy who warms up to strangers fairly quickly and enjoys quiet companionship with other calm dogs. With the resident dog in his foster home, Jameson seeks out company and loves to snuggle up. He isn’t fond of overly pushy or high-energy pups, so a calm canine friend (or being your one-and-only) would be ideal.

Jameson has done great with children he’s met and absolutely loves his walks — he’s up for a couple of miles a day and is fantastic on leash. At home, he’s content to snooze under a desk or curl up in his bed while you work. He’s house trained and sleeps soundly in his crate at night, though he prefers not to be crated during the day for long stretches. He can be a bit vocal when crated during the day so apartment life may not be a good fit.

Jameson is a wonderful companion — easygoing, loving, and ready to bring warmth and calm energy to his forever home.
