My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Senior | FIV+ | Lap Addict | Goofy Angel with a Rough Past

Stop scrolling. Seriously. If you've ever wished for a cat who just gets it — who doesn’t play hard to get, who doesn’t knock your water off the table (okay, maybe once), who just wants to love you with his whole, silly, scruffy heart, meet Chris.

This sweet senior has one mission in life: find a lap, jump in it, stay there forever. Sit down for 0.2 seconds? Boom.. he’s in your lap. On the couch, on a chair, on the toilet (yes, even there) Chris is ready. He believes in equal opportunity snuggles, and no seat is off-limits when love is involved.

Or, if he’s feeling especially dramatic, he’ll flop next to you on the couch and gently lay his head on you like a tiny weighted blanket with a purr motor. It’s impossible to resist. He is physically incapable of being more adorable.

Chris is everyone’s best friend; he’s kind, gentle, and submissive with other animals, and he has zero interest in drama (he’s seen enough of that, thank you very much). He’s got this soft, quiet way about him; except when he wants cuddles, and then he turns into a chirping, meowing cuddle beggar with the most ridiculous, adorable little voice.

Oh and he loves catnip. Like, roll-around-on-the-floor, midlife crisis kind of love. He also lives for attention and absolutely adores having his picture taken. He’ll pose. He’ll smolder. He’s basically the George Clooney of lap cats.

But behind his silly goose charm is a story that’ll break your heart: Chris was found in rough shape, underweight, in pain, and clearly once someone’s beloved companion. After a lot of TLC, he’s now healthy, happy, and overflowing with love. And he shows his gratitude every single day.

Chris is FIV positive, but FIV is not a death sentence. He can live a long, full life with regular vet care, a good diet, and a stress-free home. He can even live with other friendly cats. No special meds, no drama — just a little extra love.

He may be a little rough around the edges, but his soul is soft as can be. His only requirements? A warm lap, a cozy couch, a few flops a day, and a human who doesn’t mind being followed absolutely everywhere.

Chris is ready to spend his golden years being your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your bathroom supervisor. He’s not just looking for a house, he’s looking for you.

Chris is estimated to be around 7 years old and fully vetted, neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped. He tested positive for FIV and negative for Felv and heartworms.

Adopt Chris. He’ll love you harder than any cat ever has, even from the bathroom floor. Your lap will never be lonely again!
