Hello! My name is Diesel and I am 105 pounds of pure love! My family calls me the gentle giant! They say I am so patient, calm, and handsome!! I came to Minnesota from Alabama recently so I’m still learning the ropes of what it is like to live in a home. I overheard my human mom tell my human dad what a good boy I am. I let my doggy sibling jump on me all the time and she even gets crabby but I just take it like a good boy. She takes my toys and bones from me too. My mom has never once been worried about me. I love my walks and I will pee all the time on walks (I have never had an accident in the house!) but unfortunately I haven’t learned to do job #2 while walking. That’s why my family says I need a fence. I was nervous going up and down the stairs at first but I only needed gentle encouragement. I can do these no problem now! One more thing I’m working on…..going in the car!! Yep, I’m not comfortable with car rides. I don’t like getting in the car. Hopefully just need a little more time with these things. I know I will give you unconditional love forever and ever! Please give me a chance.
-------------------------------------------- "I'll be home for Christmas!" For applications received now through 12/31/2025, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups. This is reflected in the adoption fee shown below.
All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”
Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
