Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Joey is a lovely little fellow, rapidly gaining confidence in the new world he has been introduced to. Starting from an undersocialized puppyhood, he is slowly exploring the world at his foster home.
He plays well with the resident dog, as well as his foster family. He likes to chase balls and bounce along flipping them and kicking at them as he runs. He is still a floppy puppy!
While timid, if you let him come along at his own speed, he broadens his horizons. Every day, we walk a little further from the house and he gains a little more confidence before wanting to go back home. He is not worried by other dogs or people on his walks, but doesn’t like busy areas.
He is house trained, and has a very gentle mouth while taking treats. He is learning not to put his paws up on tables. Joey is making great progress with crate training, and is quickly learning basic commands like sit, down, and stay.
He is a medium to low energy dog and is playful, but not demanding. Email us to meet him soon!
The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.
Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.
** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process. We appreciate you`re understanding and patience. **
