Nova’s life has been one big adventure since she was a tiny neonatal bottle baby. She’s a survivor with a slightly blurry eye (three surgeries later), daily tears, and a chronic case of the sniffles. Don’t worry—she blows snot like a champ, and you’ll learn to duck.
She’s part daredevil, part shadow. Nova has no fear. Zero. Zilch. If she met a tiger, she’d probably ask it to share snacks. She’s also clingier than your favorite hoodie and where you go, she goes. Bathroom trips? She’s there. Midnight snacks? Already in the kitchen.
Her hobbies include shoulder snuggling like a pirates parrot, bouncing off walls mid-zoomie (literally), playing with every toy she finds and never putting it back, and being generally just extra.
Nova is looking for a human with experience caring for special cats and who’s cool with a little extra maintenance: quick daily eye wipes, a few drops of saline, and a lot of snuggles. In return, you’ll get a fearless, hilarious, endlessly loyal cat who proves that special needs just means “extra special.”

Home Check
We require a home visit. If all is good and everyone is in agreement, we will leave the pet for a 5 day home trial.

Pay Fee
After a successful home trail, we ask to finalize the paperwork and pay the adoption fee.

Dogs are $225
Puppies under 1 year are $275
Cats and kittens are $185
All animals have been spayed/neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, had a heart-worm test, a Feline Leukemia test and a fecal check and are dewormed, microchipped and current on heart-worm and flea preventative medications at the time of adoption.
Adopters must be 21 and have a valid Texas driver’s license or a state-issued ID that matches the home address. If new to the area, a utility bill in the name of adopter will suffice. Renters must present proof of pet deposit or landlord approval to have a pet.
We require that you visit with a pet and adoption counselor. We prefer that all family members be present when the pet is introduced to its potential new family. Current pets are welcomed and encouraged to be part of the meeting too.
If a good match is found, adopters complete an application. Same day adoptions may be done; however, Habitat 4 Paws reserves the right to request a home visit prior to adoption. We do not hold pets nor do we adopt on a first-come/first-serve basis.

The mission of H4P is to rescue and find permanent homes for dogs and cats while caring for them in a volunteer-staffed facility and foster program. We are currently raising funds for a building and in the interim are a foster based group.
Beyond just sheltering animals, we are proactive in other areas that will help keep animals out of municipal shelters. Paws Pantry animal-food bank collects and distributes dog and cat food to those in need. H4P hosts microchip clinics so that animals will have a permanent ID and can be reunited with their owners.
