My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5719908 Meet Windy , a 2-year-old Husky mix identified only by her one blue eye, as there is definitely something else in her family tree. Windy has the most uniquely adorable look and all the love to give! ️ With her sleek, short white coat dusted in cinnamon freckles - she’s truly one of a kind. Windy is a calm, easygoing sweetheart who prefers peaceful settings over chaos and thrives when given the space to come out of her shell. She's polite, gentle, and curious with other pups, especially when meeting through the fence or in low-key introductions. Whether you’re into relaxing Netflix and chill nights or quiet beach walks, Windy is the perfect low-maintenance adventure buddy. With her sweet spirit and great manners, she’d be an amazing first dog for a new pet owner finally ready to fall in love.

-2 year old white Husky mix

-36.5 pound spayed female

-Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today!

-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 8/13/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Windy is absolutely amazing!

-absolutely adorable lovebug with the most charming unique look!

-short-haired, this sweet girl has a sleek, white coat smattered with the cutest sprinkle of cinnamon sprinkles.

-she also has a mesmerizingly mismatched set of eyes - one a deep whiskey brown and the other a pale, icy blue

-This dainty darling is calm and easygoing, with a loving spirit

-a bit overwhelmed at the shelter, especially in the chaotic throng of playgroup, Windy shines in a quieter setting - when meeting other pups through the fence, on her own terms, she is curious, polite, and submissive

-with her perfectly balanced personality and calm energy, she would make for both an excellent couch companion, as well as an adventure buddy - particularly wonderful for quiet walks on the beach or a cozy night of netflix and chill

-given her wonderful disposition and perfect manners, Windy would be an amazing choice for a first time pet owner!

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
