My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thank you for your interest in adopting.

Charlie was abandoned with another dog on the side of a rural Alabama highway in August 2024. That's how losers unload their responsibilities on society. We didn't have an open foster home and couldn't leave them there so we rescued the dogs and took them to the vet for medical and boarding. Charlie spent 7 weeks at the clinic, then he moved to a foster home in October and he's still there waiting on you!

Charlie is estimated 3-4 years old and he is medium size at 55 pounds. He eats 2 cups of food and a few biscuits each day.

Charlie lives in a home with a senior couple and 6-8 adults dogs at most times. He's perfectly crate trained and doesn't bother anything in the house when not crated. Charlie enjoys time outside in the yard running the fence with deer and chasing the other dogs in the yard. He has no resource or behavioral issues. He shares antlers and toys. He will bark at any cats he sees in the yard. Charlie is a good boy eager to have a meaningful relationship with his person!

Charlie does have a one inch wide scar around most of his neck. A bandanna would look great on him! So many good dogs like Charlie are chained and neglected in the south. He doesn't remember those times. He had no other marks or scars, just his neck.

All of our dogs live in Alabama foster homes and transport to New England when they are adopted. If you are approved to adopt one of our dogs, you will speak to the foster family and you can request FaceTime, video or more pictures once your application is approved. This method of long distance adoption works for hundreds of pets every year! We have been sending Dogs and cats to homes for 15 years and strive the make the adoption process as smooth as possible.

Charlie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, multiple dewormings, heartworm negative, and he receives monthly parasite prevention. He comes with his records.

We pay a transporter for every dog we send to a New England home. We do not own the van or service. Every dog sees a veterinarian before they leave for a health check and health certificate, which also comes with a cost. These costs are built into the total fee.

Total adoption fee and investment for this nice dog is discounted $395.00 and includes the transport and health certificate from the vet.

$200 adoption fee
$195 transport health certificate

Serious adopters should fill out the application online and someone will get back to you ASAP.

We prefer a vet reference, current or previous, to adopt a puppy. Please call your vet to release information on your account.
