My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***BONDED PAIR CANNOT SEPARATE*** Bonnie is a 5 year old Terrier mix who loves to explore a yard and her home along side her blind brother Gizmo! She is an independent little girl who loves running in the yard but she also loves to be held and petted. She has been known to fight you for your burrito, cheerios or ice cream so be warned, lol. She pays close attention when you pick her almost blind brother Gizmo up to ensure he's ok but other than that she let's him wander the yard or house unless he gets lost, then just tell her to "get him, go get Gizmo Bonnie" and she will usually run right to him! Bonnie loves small, fun non in your face playmates (of her choosing) to run the yard with if you have visitors. She will need a large closed crate for she and Gizmo to sleep comfortably in otherwise Gizmo will wander out and get hurt as well as she hogs a small crate. NO doggy doors or stairs for these two due to Gizmo. Bonnie suffers bad allergies so a medicated bath every other week along with her prescribed allergy med takes care of everything! Bonnie is so sweet and a little timid but if you move slow she will trust you quickly. She just had a full dental done as well. You can meet this pair in Aurora!

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
