This helps Rescue Pets Serving Vets with pet care costs.
Jack is a 1 and 1/2 year old 59 lb Black and Tan Coonhound or mix. He was originally call Jack as a puppy when our Rescue adopted him. Then the family that adopted him named him Rico. He was returned after being the home since a young puppy, for recently nipping a kid. We don't really understand why that happened suddenly, if it was something the kid triggered or if was fear that made it happen. But we believe he still deserves a good home and for now, until he can be assessed by a great trainer we have, we would not suggest children in the home. He is fully vetted, housetrained, microchipped by us. He is good leash walking. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Jack please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Inquiry can be made about a pet by emailing casey@rescuepetsservingvets.org and/or calling 570-441-0083. Application then emailed to adopter
Interview
Vet reference check is done if they have or had previous pets and applicant is interviewed on phone as well to insure compatibility
Meet the Pet
A meet and greet is set up with potential adopter and pet at a agreed upon location
Home Check
Home visit is required to check the safety of the home where pet will be adopted into.
Sign Adoption Contract
Owner completes an adoption contract and I visit pet within a week at the new home.
