My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mia — Your Adventure Buddy & Cuddle Queen!

Mia has been waiting patiently for her forever family for almost a year — and we honestly don't understand why because she truly is the total package.

She’s about 2 years old, 65 lbs, and the perfect mix of playful, smart, and loving. Mia is happiest when she’s exploring the outdoors (hiking, running, playing fetch, or beach trips) but she’s just as content snuggled up at home. In the house, she’s quiet, crate-trained, and loves to curl up for a cuddle.

Why Mia is amazing:

* Walks beautifully on leash (after completing a professional training program! Her adopter will have access to free in person training to learn what Mia already knows)
* E-collar trained, crate trained, and house-savvy
* Dog-friendly and loves to play (her style is enthusiastic and silly!)
* Great with kids (previously lived with an 8 & 10-year-old and did wonderfully)
* Active outdoors but calm and relaxed inside
* Affectionate and loyal — she bonds deeply with her people

Mia is a confident girl who thrives with guidance and routine, and she’ll do best with someone ready to keep up the great training she’s already mastered. She could be an only dog or live with a fun, playful dog buddy.

She’s been overlooked for far too long, but the family who chooses her is going to hit the jackpot. Mia is ready to be your hiking buddy, your fetch partner, your cuddle companion, and your best friend.

Don’t let this amazing girl spend another day waiting — she’s ready to come home.

She is currently located in Pacific Beach, CA.
