Ladybug may not fit in the palm of your hand, but she’ll sure try to wiggle her way into your lap. She’s a leaner, happiest when she’s pressed close against her humans, and she’s not shy about offering her dainty Pyr paw if you forget your job as designated bellyrub-giver. Born around July 2022, this sweet Great Pyrenees girl may start off a bit timid, but give her a few days and you’ll see the playful sparkle emerge—think less “life of the party” and more “quiet guest who brought the best dessert and the trendiest board game to play.” Ladybug is friendly with other dogs and treats every pup she meets on her walks like a potential brunch date. On leash, she walks beautifully—though she’s still bravely working on her confidence when it comes to passing cyclists (they’re suspiciously fast and she’s not convinced they’re trustworthy). At home, Ladybug is house-trained and content to chill inside with her canine foster brother or play with toys while her humans are away—but solo time isn’t her strong suit just yet. Being left alone without a doggy friend can make her a bit anxious (and occasionally creative with home projects she wasn’t exactly hired for, and not in a way that will impress HGTV). Translation: she needs a dog buddy. Preferably one who’s calm, confident, and ready to show her the ropes. When it comes to felines, Ladybug has made it clear that cats are a firm “nope”, and we’re still gathering intel on her feelings about small dogs. This gentle little love bug would thrive in a home with a confident dog buddy and patient humans who understand that some flowers take a little time to bloom—but once they do, they’re absolutely worth the wait!

Adoption fee: $375 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350. The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350.
