My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

YUKON is an adorable short-haired solid gray male teenager kitty with an affectionate disposition. He is quite the lover boy, always seeking affection from his foster family. He prefers not to be picked up or held, but enjoys pets and scratches. Yukon is a shy boy, who will likely take some time to warm up to a new situation. Since he has been in foster since he was born, he is accustomed to humans and household routines, but is easily startled by quick movement and loud noises. Your patience and kindness will be rewarded by his growing confidence. Playful and active, Yukon enjoys all kinds of cat toys, and especially feather toys and springs. Yukon was found with his six littermates and his mama near a busy road as a newborn. He was rescued by our cat rescue group and immediately went into foster care. He’s now ready for a forever home of his own. He would love to be adopted with his brother Canyon or with another outgoing and playful kitten who can help him adjust to a new situation and give him an opportunity to blossom.

Yukon has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. His adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Yukon in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at PetSmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee ($280 for 2 teenagers) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to adoptioninfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID 2504-C0057

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
