If you’re looking for a dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world, Hubert is your guy. This handsome shepherd mix has a heart as big as his smile — he’ll snuggle up the first time you meet him and lean in for as many pets as you’re willing to give.
Estimated to be around five to seven years old, Hubert’s playful and curious energy suggests he may be a bit younger at heart. He loves squeaky toys, lick mats, and backyard ball time — even if his version of fetch sometimes ends with him keeping the ball. He’s also a quick learner who enjoys training sessions and already knows sit, paw, touch, place, wait, spin, and down.
One of his sweetest habits is how he greets you when you come home — tail wagging, eyes bright, and a look that says, “I’ve been waiting for you!” He just loves to be near his people and makes every day feel a little warmer.? At home, Hubert is a well-mannered gentleman. He’s fully house-trained, non-destructive, and happy to relax while his foster is at work. At bedtime, he trots into his crate without a fuss, knowing a treat awaits.
Hubert would thrive with an adopter who appreciates his affectionate nature and playful energy. He’s still working on leash reactivity toward dogs and bikes, so he’ll do best with someone patient and confident handling a strong walker?. Although we do our best to reply to all inquiries within 48 hours, please remember we are a 100% volunteer based organization, and many of us have full time jobs outside of rescue. We appreciate your patience.
Our priority is to ensure the fit is right for both you and the dog, we will reach out to your personal and veterinarian references (if applicable), and your landlord (if applicable). A virtual video or pictures of your place are required at the time of application.
You will then be granted a private meet and greet with the dog. If after the meet and greet, you would like to proceed with adoption, we will review your application internally and with the foster and make a final decision.

None of our dogs are boarded in kennels upon arrival.
We are dedicated in rescuing dogs from the Caribbean, Mexico and North America as well as local surrenders.
We place dogs in loving, responsible and committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process.
Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes.
