My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Kenny

Gender: Male

Age: 3 years old

Current Weight: 47 pounds

Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs)

Breed: Mixed Pit Bull/Jack Russell

Energy Level: High

Dog Friendly: Yes, and requires another dog in the home

Cat Friendly: No

Kid Friendly: Yes to kids 12 years old or older

Apartment Friendly: No

Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence required, 5'-6' height required.  No electric fence as Kenny has a high prey drive for yard critters

Crate Trained: Yes

Potty Trained: Yes

Ideal Home/Adopter: Kenny thrives on a calm home and a routine. He needs to be able to get his energy out by going on walks, playing with doggie friends, and playing with his people. He loves to snuggle in bed next to his person at night. He is a great sleeper! Kenny is a shy guy and still working on his confidence, so he will need an adopter with a little bit of patience as he transitions to a new home.

What makes this dog special: Kenny has a heart full of love and a playful spirit to match! This affectionate boy is a champion cuddler, always ready to shower you with hugs and kisses. He is smart, knows his commands, and thrives on adventure- whether it's going for walks or romping around with his medium and large foster siblings. This boy is ready for a person/family that loves hiking, running, and FUN.

To ensure his safety and happiness, Kenny needs a home with a 5-foot fence, no cats due to his strong prey drive, older children and a doggie sibling. He is an energetic pup who loves to explore, making daily walks a must and playtime with doggie pals. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, enthusiastic companion, Kenny might be your perfect match. He is up for a car ride at any time.

Kenny is the entire package. Incredibly sweet, highly intelligent, super loving, and an affectionate workout partner. Kenny is looking for a place to enjoy his life with a new active person/family. Kenny is fully housebroken, walks well on a leash, and loves nothing more than spending his time with his person or persons, whether that be playing or cuddling on the couch. Kenny thrives on a routine. He is a unique dog, and we are hoping for that special person/family to come through and give this sweet boy a chance at the loving home he so richly deserves.

Kenny's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved.

More about this rescue

RESCUEDohio was founded on August 1, 2015 by a group of dedicated animal lovers in the central Ohio area. The founders came from various different vocational backgrounds, but all have one thing in common: the passion to save dogs. Before starting RESCUEDohio, they were previously involved in different aspects of rescue, including fostering, fundraising, coordinating and training. The mission of this group is to help find homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs and to advocate for the rights of all animals everywhere.
