Currently located at our Owensboro, KY location

Meet Niko, our 80-pound ball of fluffy husky love!

Niko came to us through a court case and is now ready to start fresh with a forever family. He’s estimated to be about 2 years old, fully vetted, and bursting with husky charm.

We do know that Niko does great with kids, but he cannot live with cats. We’re unsure about how he’ll do with other dogs, so a meet and greet will be required with any potential canine companions.

If you’re looking for a big, lovable, energetic friend, Niko just might be your guy!

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
