Why? She's not thriving with us. 💔 While our small, free-roaming center is pretty cool, it's still not a home, so finding her a new family FAST is best.
Keiko has had a brave journey. She’s cured from FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), but has a chronic wobbly gait due to the fact she had the neurological version. She’s not in pain, but she does need a little extra care: a low-sided litter box, rugs or carpeted spaces to help her get around safely, and a patient, understanding family who can accommodate her unique needs.
At first, Keiko may seem shy or reserved, and she’s not a fan of being picked up—but she adores gentle, calm companionship. If you take the time to sit quietly with her and offer treats or food, she quickly falls in love. Once she’s comfortable, she becomes a vocal, cuddly, sweet girl who thrives on attention and soft pets on her own terms.
Keiko is an inside cat who would do best in a home with one or two people, possibly with another quiet feline friend—but she prefers to explore and approach at her own pace. She’s looking for a safe, loving home where patience, kindness, and treats are plentiful.

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
