My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cola

Age: 5 months

Sex: Neutered Male

Breed: Jindo Mix

Color: Black

Weight: 8 kg

Personality

Cola is a sweet and affectionate puppy who loves people! He happily approaches not only familiar people but also strangers, rubs against them, and enjoys being petted. He is a people-oriented pup with lots of charm and a gentle nature.

He can be a little nervous around sudden movements or loud noises from children under 13, so he would do best in a calmer household. Cola allows you to pick him up by putting your arms under his belly.

Dog & Cat Socialization

Cola loves other dogs! He confidently approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. His response to cats hasn’t been tested yet.

Energy & Exercise

Cola has a normal energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but after exercise he settles down quietly. He tends to pull on the leash, focusing more on sniffing than walking, which means he often stops and goes during walks. He does well in quiet areas but gets nervous around busy streets with many cars.

Behavior & Training

House Training: Cola uses both indoor pee pads and goes potty outdoors.

Resource Guarding: He does not guard food from people or other dogs.

Kennel/Crate: He whines when placed in a kennel.

Car Rides: He is afraid of car rides and needs to be carried into the car.

Barking: Rarely barks.

Cola is the perfect pup for a family or individual who can offer him love, gentle guidance, and a safe space to grow.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
