It may be hard to believe, but this beautiful bunny was found in a cage next to a dumpster behind a Publix on the day before Easter. Fortunately, she ended up at Orange County Animal Services, and from there transferred to us. It must have been a sad and frightening experience for her, but she is now enjoying the TLC in her foster home and is learning how to rabbit! She is a calm girl with a sweet disposition.
Easter is still a little cautious and protective of her space, but once she gets comfortable with you she loves pets and will cuddle. Judging by her resplendent ruff and her calm demeanor she is an adult bun. She is a very curious rabbit and likes to look outside and watch the world go by. Easter gives her foster mom nose boops when she wants to be petted, and she likes to do air jumps and practice her binkying skills. It’s likely she did not have much time outside of her cage in her previous life. She loves her tunnel and will retreat there when she needs a little quiet time. Easter is extremely fond of salad, herbs, hay, bamboo and apple sticks and palm plates. If you are seeking a sweet-tempered rabbit to join your household, Easter would love to meet you!
We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!
Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
