My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Indigo!!! I may be the smallest in my family (for now), but don't let that fool you! The best things come in small packages. I love to romp and play with my bigger brother, Foxtrot, as well as all my foster brothers and sisters. Oh, and I'll tell you all about my day anytime you ask. Are you asking now? (Please say yes!) I have been wrestling with Foxtrot, and I even let him think he was winning. Wasn't that nice of me? I had a nice nap in the window seat for a few hours this afternoon, and I got in some good cuddle time with my foster mom. After I was rested up, I chased a spring toy all over the house. In fact, please excuse me, there is it now! BTW, if anyone asks, I am 8 weeks old and totally ready for a home of my own!

Our cats are fully vetted and require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. We will not send cats to homes where they will be declawed, a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed and microchipped.

Our adoptable adult dogs go to prospective homes for a one week foster-to-adopt trial period.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Upon completion of foster-to-adopt period, balance of adoption fee is paid, contract is signed and adoption is completed.

DOGS

We have two ways to adopt a dog:

1) Foster to adopt. You are permitted to take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week at your home. We can loan you a wire crate for the trial period. This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then the following weekend you can finalize the adoption at one of our adoption events. If no, then you return the dog to us at one of our adoption events and you are welcome to try a different dog. You will need to complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit. The deposit will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption.

2) Outright Adoption. If you're sure you've found the right dog, you complete the necessary paperwork, pay the adoption fee in full (cash, check, or credit card only) and take the dog home. You receive all the dogs health records that we have available to us.

Our dog adoption fee is $225 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies. Fee INCLUDES: the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
