My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you want to save on your heating bill this winter, Ty is your guy. He will lay next to you or on top of you. The closer he can snuggle up the better. He loves to curl up in a little ball next to you, or slither over any separating device to get onto your lap. If you think you can ignore Ty, think again. He has this cute little cry he does while following you around, and will flop on his back to insure that he gets the required belly rubs. Ty is the sweetest little snuggle bug you can meet. He follows you around looking for love, or snacks. And by snacks, it can be anything. He loves apples, pears, bananas (watch he doesn’t sneak off with the skin), broccoli, yellow and red bell peppers.

He is a little insecure and likes to know where his people are (making sure the pets and snacks are near). Ty and his foster have been working on being calm when left alone. At first Ty was stuck to his side, but he will now go off by himself throughout the day. Overall, Ty will make someone or family a great companion. Whether it is snuggling, going for a car ride or a walk, Ty loves being with people and has been great with other pets. Ty deserves to receive the love that he gives freely to all he meets. He is a great pup and will bring lots of love to his forever home.

**Ty is currently relaxing in a foster home, if you are interested in meeting him please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email cshamgochian@parl.org to schedule an appointment**

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
