My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approx DOB: August 2024

JT is a very sweet boy who keeps being overlooked by adopters and his foster mom isn’t really sure why. Maybe it is because at first meet he is timid and will not waltz right up to everyone? She keeps telling him it is because he is so handsome that everyone is intimidated by his beauty (it makes him feel better about himself). JT would do best with his brother Lance, or with a kitten under 1. He lives in a house with MANY other cats and kittens and as it would a lot of cats, all the adult personalities overstimulate him and when that happens, he cannot be his true sweet, playful, loveable self because he is overwhelmed. He loves human affection, belly rubs, watching birds on the television and watching out the windows. Laser is another of his favorites. He does love his brother Lance, but they do not have to be adopted together at this point. He would do best in a home without small children as their fast movements make him nervous. He really is such a great guy! He just needs someone to give him the chance he deserves in the proper environment, not one with 20 other cats.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are:
Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125
Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100
Seniors (8+ years) = $80

If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.org / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.

Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.furryfriendsnetwork.org and look under How to Help / Foster Program / Foster a Furry Friend. Furry Friends Network provides our foster homes with food, litter, crates/carriers as needed and miscellaneous other supplies as well as veterinary care.

More about this rescue

Furry Friends Network is a non profit, all-volunteer animal adoption organization. Our philosophy is to help those animals that did not ask to be born, that are often the result of human ignorance. Any animal, no matter its age, can offer love and companionship to the right person.

Furry Friends Network is not a shelter, but instead uses a foster home network to house the animals until permanent, indoor homes can be found, offering second chances at lifetimes of love and happiness. Furry Friends Network also works to help humans understand the importance of controlling the pet population through spaying and neutering.

Furry Friends Network relies on private and corporate donations to help fund our rescue operations and accomplish our mission - to save lives, one animal at a time. Since the organization's inception in 2001, Furry Friends Network has facilitated the rescue, and rehabilitation and placement of approximately 300 homeless dogs and cats into new homes each year. With your support, we can continue to accomplish this mission.

There are many thousands of animal rescue organizations, all working for the same purpose. We hope through our efforts, we will make at least a small difference, and save a few lives in the process.
