Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, I’m Coraline!
I might not be the first to run up and greet you, but once you’ve earned my trust, I’ll be your most loyal little shadow. I’m a gentle, sweet cat who takes a little time to warm up, but I promise I’m worth the wait. When I feel safe, I love to rub against your legs, ask for head and chin scratches, and meow my greetings whenever you walk in the room.
My favorite things include soft stuffed toys (especially the ones with catnip inside), treats, and wet food. I really enjoy chatting with my humans and having little “conversations.” I don’t like being picked up—I prefer keeping all four paws on the ground—but I’ll happily lean into pets once I know you’re a friend.
Even though I like playing paws under the door with the other cats in my foster home, I’ve learned that I really don’t enjoy sharing my space with them. I just prefer being the only cat so I can feel safe and relaxed. I am still totally fine with dogs though, and I’m always ready to show my sweet side to the people I trust.
My perfect family will be patient and understanding—someone who knows that I need time to adjust to new places and people. Give me a few weeks, some quiet encouragement, and a little love, and I’ll show you just how affectionate and loyal I can be. Once I’ve settled in, I’ll be your devoted sidekick for life.
If you’re looking for a tenderhearted friend who will love you deeply once she feels at home, I’m your girl. Come meet me and let’s start our story together.
I also qualify for the Welcome Trial program, which means you can take me home for up to 14 days to make sure I’m the perfect fit before making things official.
