What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We are looking for a loving new home for our sweet cat, Yana. She is an 8-year-old domestic medium-haired cat who is fully vaccinated and has been with us since she was a kitten. She has a very gentle, affectionate personality and does best in calm environments (does get along with our dog).
For the first five years of her life, she lived with just my husband in a quiet studio apartment and thrived. Since the arrival of our son, she has struggled with stress and litter box issues (stooling right in front of the litter box). While we managed this for a while, our son is now dealing with developmental challenges and we can no longer keep a litter area that he cannot access.
We’ve worked with our vet and tried multiple solutions (different litter boxes, litter types, locations, medication, and a litter robot).
This is a very hard decision for us, and we truly want the best for her. If you or someone you know might be able to give Yana a loving, calm home, please reach out.
