Mischa is a chubby and shy 12-year-old kitty, who went through terrible hardships in her life. She came to the Shelter as the only surviving cat from a neglected home situation.
Mischa is very much enjoying her quiet, clean room at the Shelter where she can rely on regular meals, water and a clean litterbox.
She loves watching out of the window, snoozing in her cat tree cave, and having company of gentle people sitting with her. Sometimes, when one places a hand near her, she licks one's fingers and purrs. She is still shy but has started to eat her meals in the presence of her caretakers, instead of hiding until they leave the room.
At night she sometimes becomes as playful as a kitten and chases her toy mice around the floor.
Mischa would love a quiet home with someone who is patient and compassionate, and who can give her the loving care she has missed for much of her life.
