Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Tigga — a 93-pound brindle hunk with a goofy walk and an even bigger heart. I’m four years old, full of happy energy, and I’ve been told I have a smile that can brighten even the grumpiest human.
I already know a couple of tricks like sit and stay, and I take treats gently like a gentleman. I’m still learning the finer points of manners, so I’m hoping for a patient family who can help me continue my training. I catch on quick — sometimes a little too quick — because if you ask me to “speak,” I might just turn it into a bark-for-treats routine. What can I say? I’m a clever guy.
I love people and greet everyone with excitement, and I’ve even lived peacefully with a rabbit before. I’m not the biggest fan of having my feet touched, but if you give me kindness and guidance, I’ll give you loyalty, laughs, and love every single day.
What I really want is a home with a yard where I can stretch my long legs, practice my commands, and be my sweet, silly self. If you’re looking for a playful best friend with a big personality and an even bigger heart, I’m your boy.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc., located in Fallston, Maryland, is a non-profit, open-admission animal support organization dedicated to providing shelter and care to the homeless, abandoned and abused animals of Harford County. We provide a safe and healthy temporary shelter and seek loving, permanent homes to ensure the long-term welfare of the animals we serve. Through education and advocacy, we promote the humane treatment of companion animals and work toward reducing, and ultimately eliminating, pet overpopulation in the county through low-cost spay and neuter programs.
We have welcomed more than 300,000 animals since 1946 and provide service to the community in conjunction with animal control to safeguard public health and safety. We strive to promote the special bond between humans and their companion pets in securing forever homes for our animals.
The Humane Society of Harford County serves nearly 4,000 animals each year. The animals include dogs, cats, ponies, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, bearded dragons, lizards, snakes, spiders, iguanas, turtles, ducks, turkeys, chickens, goats and pigs, to name a few. The majority of the animals we receive are cats (and kittens) and dogs (and puppies).
