Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tommy was rescued from a shelter in 2024, weighs about 95 lbs, and will be 2 yrs old in Nov. His special needs are skin allergies, common with his breed and easy to treat. His coat is smooth with low shedding.
Tommy is an energetic, good-natured boy. He does well with different dogs, people, and locations but it's recommended (per American Kennel Club) that Am Staffies are never left alone with other dogs or small children. Also, Tommy is best with adults and older kids as he is very shy with new experiences. He is young so he needs continued training, daily exercise, and a good amount of stimulus. He does well with basic commands and is house (potty outdoors only), crate, and muzzle trained. He loves hanging out at home, nature, anything you are eating, and his sleep (snores!).
Please note, our #1 criteria to rehome Tommy is for the applicant to be an experienced dog owner. Changes in our work within the past months have made it very challenging to provide care - he deserves better.
