My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes: I am Starlight Twilight, a big boy with the soul of a little kitten. My foster parents love that I am a curious and playful kitty, yet also a calm companion who enjoys being near you. I thrive in a peaceful environment because I can be a bit nervous and easily startled, but I've been growing more confident every day. The presence of another cat at home has been really soothing for me and reassuring of safety. Having him around has been an important boost of my trust in humans.
I get along very well with my resident cat brother, I like to follow his lead and see the world the way he shows it to me. I constantly seek to play and hang out with him. I also love chasing toys, playing with feather wands, racing for my favorite treats, and I am an exceptional fly's hunter.
Most of the time, I am a silent boy, but I can get vocal if I'm worried. Sometimes, I also vocalize when I get excited to see my cat brother or when I want some pets, because yes, I ask for them. I am a sweet and affectionate kitty, always ready to melt into your hands. I don't mind you rubbing all of my body, but my favorites are scratches on my chin, cheeks, and the base of my tail. I can also allow belly rubs, which turns me into a cuddling baby. I especially love when people talk to me softly, it makes me feel safe, loved, and cherished. I'm still a little unsure about kisses and not to fond of being carried on hands, but I'm slowly learning to tolerate it. And I have even allowed my nails to be clipped three times already!
I am a master at finding cozy, hidden spots for naps during the day, and if I hear something fun happening, I'll want to be included and will run to join in immediately. But don't get me wrong, I also love to nap on the bed near you while you watch TV.
I appreciate your patience in getting to know me since I need time to trust people. With time, my foster parents believe I'll grow into a big cuddler.
If you're seeking the ideal mix of curiosity, playfulness, quietness, and independent companionship, I hope to find a loving forever home with you.

Starlight Twilight tolerates some attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
