What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I originally adopted Akira from the local animal pound in May of 2018. She has been a great dog and companion, even moved into an apartment with me in OKC when I had to live there for college.
She does great with other dogs, small and large; there has only been one dog that she hasn’t gotten along the best with since I’ve had her. She’s good with younger and older kids, but really loves the little ones (she likes to lick them in the face). She does not jump fences, but she does dig sometimes. She’s not as bad with the digging as she used to be. Usually when she digs now, it’s in the dirt to keep herself cool or if there is a mole/gopher she will dig multiple holes trying to catch it. She is not good with cats though, and unfortunately she has gotten ahold of some before. This is the main reason I am looking to rehome her now. I want her to be able to run around and enjoy her life without having to be chained up, locked in a kennel for long periods, or wear a basket muzzle all the time
