Meet Dex

This 10-year-old, 38 lb retriever mix is pure love and quiet wisdom. The white spots on his face? Those are pearls of wisdom, not tears.

Dex is a calm, loyal companion who enjoys slow walks, his cozy bagel-shaped dog bed, tasty treats, and simply being near his people.

In his foster home, Dex is a respectful houseguest. He is housetrained and past the chewing stage. Crates aren’t his thing but he’s happy to relax wherever you want him while you are gone.

Dex enjoys the company of his foster dogs and when meeting new dogs he needs a little patience and slow introductions.

Dex is ready to spend his golden years in a peaceful, loving home. If you believe the best dogs come with gray face and gentle hearts, Dex is waiting for you.

All adoptions require an approved application. The approval process includes but is not limited to reference checks, housing verification which may include home visits, personal ID verification, and veterinary references. Once this process is complete adopter must agree to and sign our adoption agreement contract insuring the best interest and care of the animal will always be priority. Every adoption is a case by case basis to ensure we match each dog with the most compatible home for its needs.
Our fees are determined by an average cost of care to transport, provide medical care, feed, and supply needed items and services to each of our rescue animals.
Our adoption fees range from $205 to $415 based on the age of the animal.

L.O.L.A.'S Rescue is a foster based, 501c3, non-profit, PACFA Licensed, no-kill rescue. We specialize in the rescue and rehabilitation mostly of large and giant breed dogs.

It is our hope to save as many adoptable dogs as possible from uncertain futures, and find them forever, loving homes. Our dogs come from all situations, from families that can no longer keep them, strays, to shelter dogs that are on the euthanasia lists at high kill shelters around the country.

Our rescue is run solely on the help from our dedicated fosters, volunteers, and donations. We are always searching for new amazing fosters and volunteers to help us expand our mission and do even more amazing life saving work in the future.
