My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sugar Pop – The Last Kitten Standing (and the Sweetest of Them All)

It’s hard to believe Sugar Pop is still waiting. His siblings have all found their forever homes, and he’s watched them leave one by one—each time hoping it was his turn next. But this sweet, soulful boy remains, patiently purring for the right person to see him. He’s not just ready for love—he’s overflowing with it. Sugar Pop won’t disappoint. He’ll be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your warm-hearted companion who makes every day brighter. All he needs is someone to say “yes.”

Video

Sugar Pop is a one-year-old old handsome boy wrapped in kitten charm. He’s endlessly affectionate, deeply social, and has a purr so powerful you’ll feel it in your chest. Stroke his back and he’ll melt into your hand, locking eyes like he’s known you forever. At night, he’ll curl up beside you, turning bedtime into a cozy ritual of love.

But here’s the thing—Sugar Pop thrives with a buddy. He needs a playful feline friend, he blossoms when he has a companion to share his zoomies, snuggles, and box-diving adventures. If you’ve got room in your heart (and home) for two, Sugar Pop will thank you with double the joy.

Sugar Pop’s Favorite Things:
- Empty boxes (hide-and-seek champion!)
- Rolling toys and cat springs for zoomies
- Snuggling in a sunny lap or beside you on the couch
- A playful buddy—or just you, if you’ve got love to spare
- Micro-chipped with free lifetime registration from Rusty's Tales
- Great with kids over 10, other cats, and friendly dogs

More about this rescue

We rescue kitties from high kill animal shelters and community kitties, take in strays and owner surrendered kitties as we have space available. We provide them love and compassion with private foster homes. All of our beautiful kitties are fully vetted, vaccinated, de-wormed, ears checked for ear mites and cleaned, provided flea medication, as well as microchipped.

We also take in feral kitties, fully vet them and they live their life at our fenced sanctuary with the rescue owner. The kitties are cared for by Karin, a lady with a passion for helping kitties to live their life to the fullest. The sanctuary also takes kitties no one wants like black cats, and the ones no one wants.
