🌟 Meet Sandie – Your Adventure Buddy Extraordinaire! 🌟

Say hello to Sandie, a 1-year-old, 44 lb bundle of love, smarts, and tail-wagging enthusiasm! This affectionate girl is the total package—bright, playful, and oh-so-snuggly once the day’s excitement winds down.

Sandie is one clever cookie! She’s already mastered sit and down (treats may or may not have been involved 😋) and she’s eager to keep learning. On her very first day in foster care she figured out the doggie door—proof of just how sharp this girl really is.

She’s also a social butterfly! Sandie does great with the other pups in her foster home and greets people of all shapes and sizes—from tall to small—with equal joy. She loves to give hugs (paws on your shoulders and all 💕) and is still perfecting her manners, but with just a little guidance she’ll be an absolute superstar companion.

✨ Sandie’s Highlights:

1 year old, 44 lbs, affectionate and intelligent

Already knows sit & down—fast learner and eager to please

Hug-giving champion 💕

Great with other dogs (hasn’t met cats yet)

House trained and doggie-door savvy

Medium energy with bursts of puppy enthusiasm

Loves to cuddle when the fun winds down

Sandie’s journey shows her incredible strength. She came into the shelter after the Kerrville 4th of July flood, skin-and-bones at just 32 lbs and full of porcupine quills in her mouth and face, she couldn’t even eat. We don't know if she was swept away in the waters or someone abandoned her, but no one came to claim her :(. But today, after lots of love, regular meals, and gentle care, being quill free, she’s healed and at a healthier weight of 44 lbs, and she is SO ready to begin her forever chapter.

This sweet, smart girl would thrive with an active family who wants to include her in all of life’s adventures—whether that’s daily errands, weekend hikes, or couch cuddles after a long day.

If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup who’s already proven she can overcome anything life throws her way, Sandie is your girl!!!

💫 Apply today at haydudeequine.org – Sandie’s ready to leap into her forever adventure… with YOU!
