My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🍯 Meet Honey Pot – The Shy Sweetheart with the Softest Soul 🍯
Introducing Honey Pot, a beautiful boy with the fluffiest coat and the kindest eyes you’ll ever see. This gentle soul can be a little shy and nervous at first — he likes to take his time getting to know new people and places. But once Honey Pot decides you’re part of his circle, you’ll see his true self shine through: curious, affectionate, and full of quiet love.
Honey Pot isn’t one to rush into things — he appreciates patience and understanding from those around him. But the reward is so worth it: sweet nuzzles, happy tail wags, and the softest snuggles imaginable. He’s also got a playful spark that comes out once he feels safe, and it’s an absolute joy to watch him explore his world with confidence.
Honey Pot is looking for a calm, patient home that will let him bloom at his own pace — a place where love comes gently and playtime is encouraged. If you’re the kind of person who believes the best bonds are built slowly and full of trust, Honey Pot will be your most loyal and loving companion. 💛

Additional adoption info

The AWL is here to find the best match possible between adopters and the animals in our care. Keep in mind that a pet’s personality is way more important, and it’s best to try to find a pet that will fit into your lifestyle.

More about this shelter

The Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for animal protection and welfare. We are based in Port Charlotte, Florida. Since 1963 our shelter has served the Charlotte County community by providing a temporary home, medical service and caring attention for many dogs, cats and other animals. These animals come to us as strays, pets given up by their owners, unfortunate animals rescued from abuse and neglect, or simply lost pets in need of being re-united with their families.
