Mama is a sweet and curious rabbit who’s ready to hop her way into your heart! She loves exploring her surroundings, checking out anything new, and going on little adventures at her own pace. Friendly and gentle, Mama enjoys quiet company and will happily sit nearby while you go about your day.
In her foster home, Mama has been slowly blossoming as she builds trust. Her foster notes that she can be shy and a bit nervous at first, but she truly wants to connect. She’s started to enjoy gentle head pets and even full-body strokes... especially “booty scratches,” which have become a fast favorite. She’ll often come over to see what her foster is doing, then hop back a step when her nerves kick in. With patience and kindness, Mama is showing more confidence every day.
Mama has been living in a busy household with older kids and has handled the daily activity well. She also shares her space with a very large dog, she was initially intimidated (understandably!), but she’s begun showing some cautious curiosity from the safety of her enclosure. Sudden noises can startle her, but normal household bustle doesn’t seem to bother her much.
She’s tidy with her pees and mostly consistent with her litter habits, though occasional accidents may happen if she’s startled. Mama isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she tolerates it, and her foster has been respecting her boundaries to help her feel safe. She enjoys chewing wooden balls and sticks and will happily investigate toys you gently toss her way. Mama does have some mobility quirks with her back legs. She gets around well overall but may walk more than hop and occasionally needs a moment to maneuver into her litter box. This doesn’t seem to bother her, and she continues to explore and enjoy her space with enthusiasm.
Mama would thrive in a calm, patient home with adopters who are willing to let her open up at her own pace. If you’re looking for a tender, curious companion who will reward your patience with trust and affection, Mama could be the perfect match!
***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
