My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MARINARA is a short-haired, young adult female brown tabby with some leopard style markings. Sweet and gentle, Marinara is friendly and likes cuddles and affection. She loves to be scratched on the sides of her face. Marinara was found in the midst of giving birth to ten kittens. A foster from our rescue group found her and was able to gather her up with all of her kittens and bring her to her home. She was likely abandoned, as she is accustomed to human touch and was very happy to be rescued! She has been in foster since giving birth and shows every sign of being a very loving and playful young cat once her maternal duties have ended. She shows no interest in escaping or dashing for exits. She has been an especially affectionate and attentive mama to her kittens. Now it's time for Marinara to have a safe and secure home of her own, where she can relax and enjoy being the center of attention and lavished with love. This gentle and sweet girl deserves a forever home of her own, and may be happiest as the only cat.

MARINARA has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.   To meet MARINARA in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart.  A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.  The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglect cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to adoptioninfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID 2505-C0097.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
