What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Elmer is a sweet, silly, loving guy! He;s had lots of positive obedience training (stay, sit, down, heel, loose leash walking, hand targeting, etc) and really wants to please! He’s a good leash walker and prefers a slower on-leash pace that allows him to smell all the roses. House trained and good in a crate as well, non destructive when left out. Cuddly, loves playing with toys with his people! A+ at fetch and tug!
Elmer is very nervous around other dogs and needs a home where he can be the only dog. He currently lives with two large dogs kept mostly separated and so takes 2 inexpensive (total about $20/month at Costco) medications to help manage his anxiety. It;s possible he would not need the meds once he was fully settled into a new only-dog home. Although he needs to live without other dogs, he’s not barky or lunge-y when he sees them out on leash!
If you’re looking for a cuddly, walk and playtime ride-or-die, Elmer could be your guy!
