Gus is an energetic and loyal pup looking for his forever home. Hes about 11 months old and has been with us since he was 6 months, after being rescued from a puppy mill in Penn Yan, New York. Gus loves to play and explore but is just as happy to curl up for snuggles on the couch. He's crate and house trained, making him well on his way to being the perfect companion. He may get along with other dogs when given proper introductions and social time in a controlled environment. We're not sure how he does with cats since he hasn't lived with any. Because of his natural herding instincts, Gus does not do well with children. He tends to herd by jumping and nipping. For this reason, we're looking for an adult-only home that understands his needs. He would thrive with an active person or family who can provide him with daily exercise, continued training, and plenty of love. Gus is a wonderful, affectionate dog who is ready to give his whole heart to the right family.
