My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Ocho. I might look like I’m unimpressed with the world, but give me five minutes and I’ll be purring in your lap, wondering if you’re the one I’ve been waiting for.

Not long ago, I was living out in the fields near California Cat Rescue, trying to survive on my own. I was in rough shape and didn’t know if life would ever get easier. Then someone took a chance on me. They brought me in, cleaned me up, and helped me heal. I even had some dental work done, which left me a few teeth lighter but feeling so much better. I don’t need any special food or care now—just a quiet home and someone to love.

I’m a mellow, affectionate tuxedo cat with the face of a grumpy old man and the heart of a teddy bear. I love soft blankets, chin scratches, and long naps in warm spots. I may act reserved at first, but I’m all in once I feel safe.

I’m also bonded with my younger buddy Bandit. He’s the playful one, full of energy and silly antics. I’m the calm presence who keeps him grounded. We’ve grown close, and we’re looking for a home where we can stay together.

If you’re looking for two rescue boys who have come a long way and are ready to love you completely, we’d love to meet you. All we want is a soft couch, a safe place to land, and someone to share our second chance with.
